About Adam
I was born in St. Louis but grew up mostly around Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where God used godly parents, admirable mentors, and incredible friends to relentlessly pursue a heart for the Lord in me despite my ferociously mischievous spirit. After completing my degree in Secondary Education and Theology at Concordia University Wisconsin, I moved to the metroplex in 2003 to do student ministry at a church in Flower Mound. In 2010, I married Chelsea Lane. Together, we have three sons: Oscar, Gus and Theodore. My family and I live in Lake Highlands in a diverse and beautiful neighborhood that we love.
I have been a NextGen Minister, a Student Minister, a public high school teacher, a Young Life leader, an itinerant speaker, and an Elder, Spiritual Formation Pastor, and member of the Executive Team at The Village Church. I completed my Masters in Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Certificate of Youth and Family Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary, and finished a Doctorate of Educational Ministry in Executive Leadership at Southern Seminary in 2018 where I developed a strategic plan to address racial reconciliation in the city of Dallas. Among other things, I am passionate about family discipleship, the sanctity of human life, racial harmony, and ministering to refugees. In 2020, I released my first book, Family Discipleship, through Crossway with my coauthor, Matt Chandler.
My hope for Eastside is that we would be a body of believers that are identified with Christ because of how much and how obviously we love Him, love each other, and love our community.
Adam wrote the book Family Discipleship with co-author Matt Chandler.
The book released August 18, 2020 from Crossway.
